Volvo Ocean Race

After winning the pitch in 2007, the Volvo Ocean Race project was a very exciting prospect for Grapefruit Graphics. Working very closely with the team at Volvo Ocean Race head quarters, we were appointed the task of compiling, designing and supplying all branding for the 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race.

The project consisted of branding both on and off the water to a large number of shore based event and information mediums, including Diabond boards, flags and race marks to mention just a few. In support of this we were set the task to develop a branding manual, that can be accessed and navigated online, which would manage and inform the production of any additional branding and assist in the construction of the event apparatus.

Due to the scale of the event, the Volvo Ocean Race branding project is an ongoing venture for the team at Grapefruit Graphics, who are constantly giving support to the Volvo Ocean Race teams and event organiser worldwide.
